I have had several conversations with Burapha's Management about the ratings of the A&B course, which is rated harder on paper than the C&D courses, but usually attract a lot better stableford scores amongst our handicap golfers. Mike looked into it for me and over the last two weeks implement some changes whereby the white tee boxes on AB are set up to more accurately reflect the yardage of the white tee ratings (over the length of 18 holes), and the changes did make a substantial difference with the results much more in line with the expected scores across all players. So, out of 28 players today, we had in past rounds almost half scoring better than handicap (penalizing them subsequently a bit unfairly on handicap reduction), but not anymore! Today, only 4 players scored better than their playing handicap, with a good distribution of other players in the 33-35 points range, and great balance between the A and B division (which is a sign that indicates whether a course is setup too easy or too hard. Better high handicap average scores mean a course is set up too easy, and better low handicap average scores mean a course is set up too hard).

So with that bit of Trivia out of the way, here are the results:
B Division: Vince Connolly scored 35 points to come third, Shay Mitchell had 37 points in 2nd place, and Aussie visitor Dion Hyland an awesome 40 points to win the B division.
A Division:Neil John Lavery, a good 35 points for 3rd, followed by Steve Dull with 37 points in 2nd, and Pat Regan with a fantastic 39 points to win the A division. There were 3 two's today: Shay Mitchell, John Langley and Peter Nixon.
